Efficiency of composted vinasse in the production of basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) under greenhouse conditions

The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness vinasse, which is known be a good source organic matter and potassium in production an aromatic plant. In context, food industry waste, composted applied soil alone mixed with chemical fertilizers different doses [Only fertilization-control (C), vinasse compost 0.5 t ha-1 (VC-0.5), + fertilization (VC-0.5+CF), 1 (VC-1), (VC-1+CF)] thus, basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) produced under greenhouse conditions. Plants were harvested three times row when they reached flowering period. Morphological (number branches, flower spike height, plant fresh weight), agronomic (green herb/drug yield, dry weight) technological (essential oil ratio, essential composition, color value) parameters examined samples. According results obtained; while highest weight, green herb yield weight obtained by VC+CF, ratio observed VC. striking point here that these application rate compost. findings from reveal can used cultivation together fertilization.
